Is your little one a fan of big wheels and loud engines? Then a monster truck-themed birthday party might be just the ticket to make their special day a roaring success. From decorations to games to food, there are plenty of ways to make your child's monster truck dreams come true.
Here are some tips for throwing a successful monster truck-themed birthday party:
Choose the perfect location: Hosting a monster truck-themed party requires a lot of space. Consider holding the party at a park or outdoor venue where there is room to set up games and activities.
Decorate with a bang: Incorporate elements that are synonymous with monster trucks, such as black and white checkered flags, orange cones, and tire tracks. Balloons and streamers in the same colors can add some extra flair.
Plan fun activities: What's a monster truck party without some big wheel action? Set up an obstacle course using cones and other props. Kids can race toy trucks through the course, and winners can take home a prize. Another fun activity is a monster truck photo booth where kids can take pictures with their favorite trucks.
Serve up some tasty treats: Use the monster truck theme to inspire your food choices. For example, serve up "spare tire" donuts or "fuel" juice boxes. Use a truck-shaped cookie cutter to make sandwiches, and decorate cupcakes with crushed Oreo "dirt" and gummy worms.
Party favors: Give kids a little piece of the party to take home with them. Miniature monster truck toys, checkered flag wristbands, and tire-shaped stress balls are all fun and inexpensive options.
With a little planning and imagination, your child's monster truck-themed birthday party is sure to be a smashing success!

How to Create a Monster Truck Arena
I've included a list of the things I used to create Soren's Monster Truck Track. All of these items I already had! Since Soren was turning 5, we chose to make his track in the shape of a 5. Get creative and have your kids help ... it's way more fun that way!
large cardboard box (the foundation of your track)
Sharpie (to sketch out track)
painter's tape (to secure the ramps to the foundation)
aluminum foil (covered gaps underneath ramps)
drywall spackling (created texture)
gorilla glue (to fill in gaps & create cool rocky/mud effect)
spray paint
Step 1: Collect supplies
Step 2: Design your track
Step 3: Build your track
Step 4: Create texture & let dry
Step 5: Spray Paint & let dry
Step 6: Grab your monster trucks and enjoy!
To be honest, over 6 months later the Monster Truck Arena is still living in the playroom!
